To attend school for the past five years, Ximena (16) has walked over an hour one way through the mountains to the town of Melga. Xlmena aspires to be a doctor.
	Bolivia - Sponsored girls and their mother My group visited the family of 3 sponsored girls, Danian (age 12), Rosaicela (10), and Blanca (8). Their mother, Maria, is confined to a wheelchair as a result of polio. Abandoned by the father of the girls, Maria sews and sells refreshments on the street. Maria expresses great gratitude for the sponsorship of her three girls.
