Scholarship Program

Projects monitor students to ensure they are fulfilling the requirements of the program. Because scholarships are intended as supplemental assistance, families contribute what they can to the cost of education.

Please note: Contributions cannot be designated for specific students. Scholarships are awarded at the discretion of CFCA projects.

Help deserving youth secure a better future

Thanks to the generosity of donors, CFCA's Scholarship Program has allowed thousands of students in our projects to see dreams once deemed impossible become reality.

CFCA projects overseas award scholarships based on economic need, academic achievement, demonstrated leadership and commitment to community service.

Many CFCA scholars remain in their communities after they complete their education. Because they were selected based in part on their commitment to service, they contribute their talents to lifting their families and communities from poverty.

CFCA sends 100% of your donation for scholarships

Many support CFCA's Scholarship Program because we send 100% of your contribution to projects for scholarships. In 2006, CFCA awarded more than $1.9 million through 6,616 scholarships for secondary, post-secondary and vocational education.

Projects monitor students to ensure they are fulfilling the requirements of the program. Because scholarships are intended as supplemental assistance, families contribute what they can to the cost of education.

Please note: CFCA does not post photos or other personal information about children or aging persons waiting to be sponsored in order to protect their privacy and the privacy of their families. This is in accordance with our child protection policies and also in keeping with our commitment to respecting the dignity of those we serve. At the same time, we know sponsors may wish to sponsor a child or aging person of a particular age, gender or country, and we do everything possible to honor those requests. Sponsors are invited to indicate special requests in the "other criteria" box when you sponsor online. Once your sponsorship has been established, you will receive a photo and family profile of your sponsored friend, the address of the CFCA project where you may write to your friend and other helpful information about your CFCA sponsorship.
