Matching gifts can multiply your generosity

Many employers offer a matching gift program, which allows you the opportunity to make your generous donations go even further.

Does your employer offer a matching gift program? Many of our sponsors and donors have discovered that they can double and triple their contributions with matching gifts from their employers. A growing number of companies and organizations match current and retired employees’ gifts to charitable organizations. Matching contributions typically are one-to-one. But some go even further, matching two-to-one or three-to-one for each dollar donated to CFCA.

How to start

Not sure whether your employer offers a matching gift program? Check with your human resources department. They can provide all required forms and verify that CFCA is on their list of approved charities. We also are happy to assist you with specific information required by your employer regarding matching gift request forms and other information as required by your employer for consideration of CFCA on their approved charities' list.

CFCA is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization under provisions of the Internal Revenue Code. Our federal identification number is 43-1243999.

Where does the money go?

Matching gifts really add up. In 2007, CFCA received more than $221,500 from employers nationwide. CFCA designates 100 percent of matching gifts to help fund the scholarship program. This program supports older students who have distinguished themselves through their educational goals, leadership potential and desire to serve their communities.

Best hope for overcoming poverty

Scholarship assistance fills an important need in the communities we serve and meets the criteria established by many companies and organizations for matching donations. The CFCA Scholarship Program provides direct educational assistance to help young people in developing countries overcome obstacles created by poverty.

Scholarships are awarded at the discretion of CFCA projects. As a result, donations may not be designated for specific students.
