Witness the work of CFCA projects Our mission awareness trips give you an opportunity to experience firsthand how your sponsorship helps children and aging persons overcome the obstacles of poverty. You will see how benefits including education, nutrition, clothing and medical care offer hope and assist families in their struggles for survival and development. And you will witness how CFCA sponsorship empowers people to reach out in compassion to others in their communities. Experience other cultures When you visit the projects with CFCA, you travel not as a tourist but as an honored guest and friend of the local people. You will experience the hospitality of the poor, learn about their social and economic realities, and be inspired by their spirituality. Accommodations will be simple but comfortable. You will sample native foods and enjoy cultural presentations. Most of all, you will experience the smiles, love and gratitude of the sponsored children and aging friends.

Spend time with your sponsored friend
For travelers who sponsor children, aging friends or religious vocation candidates in the countries we visit, spending time with their sponsored friends is the highlight. We will make every effort for you to be able to meet your sponsored friend.

Our trips are affordable

The cost for 2008 trips to Latin America and the Caribbean are $450. Trips to India, Africa, and the Philippines are $650.

The price is the same for all individuals, including children. This amount covers food, lodging and most in-country transportation. Airfare to and from the destination country is NOT included. A $100 non-refundable deposit is due with your application and the final balance is due four weeks before departure.

Individual sponsor visits

Sponsors may schedule an individual visit if their sponsored friend lives in a country where CFCA does not host a mission awareness trip or if they are unable to participate in a scheduled trip.
