The leaders of CFCA work everyday to answer the Gospel call to serve the poor. They are dedicated to the common goal of creating communities of compassion
CFCA's Chief Executive Officer, Francis "Paco" Wertin, shares his viewpoint of the organization:
 |
"It is a privilege and honor to be at the service of CFCA as we go
about creating a worldwide community of compassion through personal
outreach to the poor. We offer sponsorship as a viable and trustworthy
means for people to participate in the Church's social doctrine.
The reciprocal relationships that are developed through sponsorship
benefit both the sponsored and the sponsors, highlighting the dignity
of each person and all cultures. The sponsored are empowered to
reach their desired potential with help in overcoming some of the
obstacles of poverty in the situation in which they live. The sponsored,
in turn, help others in their community to reach their desired potential.
|
Sponsors become aware of the reality and potential of the poor.
This impact invites each of them to deepen their own response to
CFCA international and domestic efforts, accepting the challenges
implicit in building and sustaining sincere, lasting relationships--both internationally and interculturally.
Through hard work and
daily fidelity of everyone at CFCA, we have established an infrastructure
specially designed to deliver the benefits needed by the sponsored
and promised to the sponsors, and communicate it well for the edification
of both. Sponsors and donors deserve and require a responsible and
transparent organization to receive and account for their faith-filled
contributions."
