CFCA believes in the potential of the poor to effect change in their own lives and in our world. Our Hope for a Family sponsorship program connects individual sponsors with a child, youth or elderly person in need of encouragement and support. Hope for a Family sponsorship goes beyond the basics of providing food, education, health care and livelihood programs. It gives families hope that they can create a path out of poverty for their children.
Families living in poverty are struggling heroically to overcome tremendous odds. We affirm their dignity by becoming their friends, and walk alongside them supporting them on their journey.
"Through your CFCA sponsorship, you walk in solidarity with the poor."
- Bob Hentzen, President and Co-founder

CFCA works with families on an individual basis because sponsorship isn't one-size-fits-all.
We listen to families, tailoring the sponsorship benefits to their needs, and giving them the tools to make a better life for their children.
Livelihood training programs, parent groups and adult literacy classes are some of the ways we support and encourage families.
Our commitment to responsible stewardship ensures contributions are used efficiently in support of sponsored friends. |

CFCA stewardship has consistently garnered the highest ratings from independent oversight organizations, including the American Institute of Philanthropy and Charity Navigator. CFCA meets all 20 of the Better Business Bureau Wise Giving Alliance's rigorous Standards for Charity Accountability.
