Financial Overview for 2006

Sponsorship of children, youth and aging is the highest priority of Christian Foundation for Children and Aging. Individual sponsors are CFCA’s primary source of support.

Thanks to the ongoing generosity of sponsors and donors in 2006, CFCA experienced a 13.4 percent growth in contributions. Revenues increased as a result of many sponsors voluntarily increasing their level of support from $20 a month to $30. Those additional monthly contributions raised our average monthly sponsorship contributions from $19.74 in early 2006 to $24.05 at year end.

Public support and revenue totaled $92.2 million. Of that total, $80.7 million was from sponsorships, $9.8 million was from other donations consisting of matching gifts, estate gifts, general contributions, and donations to special funds, and $1.7 million was primarily from investment income.

CFCA’s approach to managing administrative expenses and reserves is one of balanced austerity. The organization seeks to maximize the amount sent to sponsored members while allowing for adequate investment so that staff at home and abroad have sufficient resources to respond to the urgent needs of those served by our projects worldwide.

CFCA is a 501(c) (3) non-profit corporation, federal EIN: 431243999. Contributions are tax-deductible as allowed by law unless otherwise noted.
