El Salvador press covers Walk2gether
January 14, 2010
A prominent El Salvador newspaper reported the Jan.7 arrival in that country of CFCA President Bob Hentzen and his companions on Walk2gether, Hentzen’s 8,000-mile trek through Latin America.
La Prensa Gráfica, one of El Salvador’s two largest newspapers, was on hand to cover Hentzen and the group as they passed into El Salvador from Guatemala at the town of Las Chinamas de Ahuachapán. The newspaper quoted Hentzen, reported on the purpose of the walk and the work of CFCA.

Later on the day of the arrival, Hentzen received an award from the mayor of Chalchuapa, where one of CFCA’s subprojects is located, said Henry Flores, director of CFCA’s communications center in El Salvador.
El Salvador was the second of 12 countries to be visited over a 16-month period. Walk2gether launched on Dec. 29, 2009, in San Lucas Toliman, Guatemala, and entered Honduras Jan. 14.
Walk2gether is a continuation of Hentzen’s 1996 walk from Kansas City to Guatemala to express his love for the families CFCA works with, to learn from them, and to show them that they are not alone.
