El Salvador scholar takes pride in hard work
Cesar, a CFCA scholar in El Salvador, is no stranger to setting and achieving goals. In 2009, he decided to start saving to buy a computer by selling ice cream on the street.
As a scholar student, Cesar performs service hours for the CFCA office. His long-term goals include starting a family, owning a home and buying a car.

CFCA sponsorship from 1998 to 2003 put Juan Racanac of Guatemala on the path toward his goal to become a priest.
Today, Juan is studying for the priesthood through the diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph, Mo.

Filipino youth pay it forward after sponsorship
Alumni club members in the Philippines share their skills, knowledge and time with children and elderly who are sponsored in the CFCA Hope for a Family program.
The club is open to graduates of any age who were sponsored through CFCA or who received a CFCA scholarship.

Teddy Naluwu: A sponsorship success story
CFCA helped Teddy Naluwu, sponsored through CFCA from 1996 to 2008, finish school and obtain a degree. She is now the CFCA project coordinator for Kampala in Uganda. Teddy talks about how her experience as a sponsored child inspires and motivates her work with sponsored members and their families.

Former street child from Kenya wired for success
As a young boy in Nairobi, Kenya, Moses had dreamed of being a telecommunications engineer. But that dream seemed unattainable because of his family’s economic situation. Today, Moses is enrolled in an electronics and electrical engineering program, thanks to his CFCA sponsor.

Kid's Corner
A CFCA project in Honduras recently held a workshop for local youth. The project encouraged the youth to write “success plans” for their life. The youth took turns writing down their goals and explaining how they would accomplish those goals.
