Financial Auditor - International
Christian Foundation for Children and Aging (CFCA) is seeking a financial auditor for our international programs department. This position's primary responsibility is to provide financial training, monitoring and support, financial analysis, financial audits and audit coordination for overseas projects. This position is responsible for ensuring project compliance with CFCA financial policies and the implementation of audit recommendations. This position also serves as a lead role in training and support to CFCA project accountants in the implementation of Sage MIP fund accounting software.
Candidate should have strong computer skills and three to five years proven experience with financial analysis and auditing and audit planning and reporting.
The ideal candidate must have the following: excellent written and oral communication skills; good problem-solving and analytical skills; strong organizational and interpersonal skills; and the ability to train others in an international setting. This individual must also be able to take initiative and work with minimal supervision, and have a desire to work in service of those living in poverty.
This position is based in Kansas City, Kan., and will require periodic travel overseas.
Qualifications: At least one of the following: bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university in accounting. Knowledge of fund accounting principles is essential.
Preferred qualifications: Overseas experience and working with other cultures. Experience managing or supervising accountants or auditors. Fluency in English and Spanish preferred. CPA degree and presentation skills desired.

Marketing Intern
Christian Foundation for Children and Aging (CFCA) is seeking a marketing intern. This individual would be a member of our U.S. Outreach team and would be responsible for assisting with marketing and public relations initiatives of CFCA. This is a paid temporary internship and will last approximately six months.
This position includes marketing, public relations, advertising and departmental support duties. Candidate must possess excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; proven ability to work independently and on cross-functional teams; excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the organization. Strong computer skills in a Windows environment - Excel, Word and Outlook - required.
Candidate must demonstrate professional attitude, work habits, ability to manage and balance multiple tasks and priorities; and ability to work with minimal supervision and meet deadlines. This individual should have a desire to work in service of the poor and a history of service to others.
Qualifications: Recent graduate or currently enrolled senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in marketing, public relations, communications, advertising or business.

Marketing Manager for New Channels
Christian Foundation for Children and Aging (CFCA) is seeking a marketing manager for new channels. We are looking for someone with specific skills and demonstrated experience researching and entering new markets with strategies and plans designed to meet stated goals.
This individual will research, identify, develop, implement and support new and emerging sponsor acquisition channels for CFCA’s sponsorship program. This individual will be responsible for directing and implementing effective acquisition methods that fit CFCA’s overall positioning and messaging, and developing, guiding and executing marketing strategies and plans that will raise awareness and establish market share to acquire sponsors through methods consistent with CFCA’s mission, core values and identity.
Candidate must possess: proven ability to analyze and present market data and incorporate it into marketing and business development plans; demonstrated experience achieving results; creative thinker who is highly proactive and takes ownership of projects; strong strategic thinking and planning skills; strong organizational skills; ability to propose creative solutions to achieve objectives; and excellent written and verbal communication skills. This is a hands-on role which will require cross-departmental collaboration, managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines. Must possess good computer skills in a Windows environment. Experience in design and design programs a plus. Required domestic travel approximately 20-30% of the time and may require up to two international trips per year.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business or related field, or equivalent corporate/nonprofit experience in a professional capacity plus 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience in guiding, managing and implementing marketing, communications, advertising and/or business development.
Preferred qualifications: Experience in branding strategies and/or experience working with nonprofits.

Outreach Volunteer Coordinator
Christian Foundation for Children and Aging (CFCA) is seeking an outreach volunteer coordinator. This individual is a member of our U.S. Outreach team and is responsible for nurturing the relationship sponsors have with CFCA and encouraging them to get involved with our outreach efforts.
This individual will introduce volunteer opportunities to CFCA sponsors and supporters and ask them to help us in our efforts to invite people of good will to join CFCA as sponsors and donors. Working in a team environment, the coordinator must be able to communicate enthusiasm for the work we do and be persuasive in their approach. Communication is primarily done by phone, but may also utilize email and mail. This individual will recruit, encourage and support CFCA supporters in outreach efforts and should have a passion for helping families living in poverty.
Candidate must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills; self-motivation with the ability to manage multiple tasks at once; excellent customer service, sales and/or marketing skills; and inbound and outbound phone experience with proven results. Candidate should be able to motivate people, deal with rejection and remain positive as well as listen carefully and resolve concerns while maintaining composure and professionalism. Candidate should have strong organizational skills and be comfortable working within a team setting and taking direction. Strong computer skills in a Windows environment - Excel, Word and Outlook - required. Must demonstrate professional attitude, work habits, and be credible and comfortable in speaking one-to-one or in a group setting.
