For Our Sponsors - Anniversary Greetings

Anniversary greetings from CFCA projects around the world

Happy Anniversary from Chile

   CFCA/Valparaiso project

Upon completing 25 years, we join together in an international praise to God, who allows us to work in harmony with Him.

The good fruits obtained give us new strength to continue in a job not without difficulties, but that rewards us every time that a family or a child leaves behind inappropriate behaviors or stops imitating the world around him, and every time that one of our aging smiles because he feels that he is loved and because for him, loneliness is just a meaningless word because he belongs to an institution that watches over him and through it, he belongs to God.

Cordial greetings from Uganda

   CFCA/Mary Raple

We, the members of Masaka Project, we want to pay our tributes to CFCA. We sing happy birthday on this 25th anniversary.

We greet the founder, Bob Hentzen, and all officers of CFCA in Kansas City. We also give a big thanks to all CFCA sponsors across the globe. We say a special prayer for peaceful rest of the souls of Jerry Tolle and Jim Hentzen.

After 25 years, CFCA has minimized illiteracy among the sponsored. It has improved health care for the the poor and vulnerable groups. Through letter-writing, sponsored friends have a strong relationship with their sponsors. There is increased participation in local decision making, and CFCA families are participating in social consultation groups.

Indeed CFCA has made a difference not only among the sponsored and their families but also it has made an indirect impact on society, especially in countries where CFCA is operating.

Long live CFCA and our beloved sponsors!

CFCA is a blessing for families in Honduras

Our families classify this great work that we carry on as this:

CFCA, for many of the mothers of sponsored children, is the father figure or partner they never had.

CFCA, for many fathers, is the ideal son or working companion.

CFCA, for the sponsored children, is their perfect mother or father, their brother/sister or classmate, or a friend whom they go to for advice. The most common advice given to them is, “Stay in school. It is for your own good.”

For all of the sponsored, CFCA is a constant support that helps them day to day in every area of their lives.

CFCA-Kansas, for El Progreso, is a right hand that helps us give the families total support, not just some help.

CFCA is a blessing to the 11 of us who work here. They pay us to do what our Lord came to earth to do and sacrificed His son for.

Congratulations on our anniversary and join us in celebrating by serving the needy.

Thanks from Nicaragua

On this 20th of November, we want you, wherever you are, to share through prayer in this joyous occasion alongside your CFCA brothers and sisters and thank God for His infinite love and for allowing that the task entrusted to Mr. Robert, his siblings and friends, continues to flourish like Eden, adorned with beautiful flowers and filled with the smiling faces of our children, youth and aging around the world.

   CFCA/Ed Herman

In 25 years and 25 countries, CFCA has spread Our Lord’s good deed of happiness, faith and hope with the firm conviction to create a worldwide community of compassion. With just faith and love we can change the world, and from our house, neighborhood, community, town or country, create something truly beautiful in our eyes and in the eyes of our Creator.

Happy anniversary to all of my dear brothers, Mr. Robert, friends, sponsors, children, youths, aging and family who share their lives and enormous hearts with every single one of us.

God bless you, may He keep you safe, illuminate and give us strength to continue filling this world with peace and love.

Realizing the CFCA mission in Costa Rica

   CFCA/Sheila Myers

Watch a slide show with music composed and performed by Costa Rica project staff (7mb - flash movie)

This is a special moment to reinforce our faith in the mission, “it is worth the pain to continue, it is worth the pain to fight.” We are called to give our best each day, to recognize the “we have received a special call and the opportunity to build CFCA, in words and in actions, not as separate individuals but as a community," as Don Roberto tells us. The foundation is on a journey. … It is not something finished, static. On our journey, we wish to say: “To think like the poor is to walk beside them, to trust in God, to leave behind the power, to make sacrifices for the poor." All this implies submission to the Spirit, humility, service, patience, pardon, giving, happiness and fortitude.
